Bob Harkins

Bob Harkins’ background in the automotive industry includes consumer finance, sales and F&I management. He once served as vice president and director of training for an international credit insurance and vehicle service contract administrator and also has worked with Northwood University, NADA’s Dealer Candidate Academy, NCM Associates Inc., manufacturers’ dealer development programs, state dealer associations and AFIP. Bob designs and presents finance and insurance, compliance and ethics seminars and workshops for dealerships, dealer groups, administrators and general agents.

Bruce Bright’s 28-year career as an infantryman, F/A-18 fighter pilot and commanding officer in the U.S. Marine Corps included two combat tours in the Middle East. James Ballou

James Ballou started in the car business in 1988 in Syracuse, New York.  He was a salesman for six months and then was promoted to finance manager.  James spent seven years in F&I while in New York, and then moved to Florida and spent the next 18 years as a finance director.  For the past two years, he has been in the role of general sales manager.   


Angela Barrett

Angela Barrett is a 30-year veteran of the automotive retail industry. For the last 25 years, she’s worked in senior level F&I and sales roles, including stints with Jarrett Gordon Ford in Davenport, Fla., and Sun State Ford Inc., in Orlando, Fla. Angela currently operates her own consulting firm, which provides finance and sales management support to dealers in need of temporary staffing. She is also a licensed dealer in the state of Florida.


Harlene Doane
Chief Operations Officer

Harlene Doane is the chief operations officer of DealerStrong and former editor of Auto Dealer Today magazine and automotive controller. She heads DealerStrong’s HR recruiting/screen and employee develop initiatives for auto dealers.


Mark Dubois

Mark Dubois’ 35-year automotive industry career includes experience in sales, dealership management, recruiting and training, ebusiness, marketing and buy here, pay here (BHPH) management. He joined CarBiz Auto Credit in 2004 as regional manager for Florida operations. Mark currently serves as president of Dealer Performance and Consulting and as a moderator for BHPH performance groups. He is a frequent guest speaker, workshop presenter and panel member at national and state independent dealer association conventions and contributes articles on business analysis, operations, training and trends to industry publications.

Marv Eleazer is a 35-year veteran of the auto retail and finance industry. He began his career as a salesman and served in positions representing every phase of front-end management before beginning a 25-year tenure as a finance manager. Marv has become a leading voice among F&I professionals via his widely read “Mad Marv” column in F&I and Showroom, speaking engagements at Industry Summit and his Ethical F&I Managers Facebook group.


Shawn Foster
Executive Trainer and Performance Group Moderator

Shawn Foster is a former dealership owner and an executive trainer and performance group moderator for DealerStrong. Shawn uses his 25 years of experience in special finance and used vehicle inventory to assist dealers in growing their special finance operations.

  Jim Ganther

Mosaic Compliance Services

Jim Ganther began his career as a business attorney and litigator in Washington, D.C. and Tampa, Florida, before becoming in-house counsel for an F&I brokerage where he focused on legal issues affecting automobile dealerships. In 2006 he founded Mosaic Compliance Services, which provides customized web-based compliance management systems for dealerships. Jim is an AV-rated attorney, a member of the National Association of Dealer Counsel, and was designated by F&I and Showroom Magazine as a member of their national "Who's Who in F&I."


Luis Garcia
Avid Insurance

Luis Garcia’s automotive industry career began at AutoNation, where he advanced from sales to F&I and sales management before transitioning to a second career as a nationally recognized trainer and consultant. He served as Safe-Guard Products International’s first director of training and development, overseeing F&I product sales in 2,500 dealerships representing every manufacturer in all 50 states and helping the company increase its monthly contracts from 50,000 to 250,000. In 2012, he became the majority shareholder of Avid Insurance, an established firm that experienced a 50% growth margin in his first two years at the helm and now offers consulting services to some of the nation’s highest volume and gross profit dealerships.


Justin Gasman

Justin Gasman grew up in the car business and officially began his automotive industry career in 2003. In 2014, he joined the staff of McCaddon Cadillac Buick GMC in Boulder, Colo., as the dealership’s sole full-time F&I professional. That year, he won first place in F&I and Showroom’s F&Idol contest and helped McCaddon earn F&I Pacesetter status. Justin is AFIP Master-certified and is dedicated to conducting every transaction legally, ethically and professionally.

  Gerry Gould

Gerry Gould is a 30-year industry veteran with experience in sales, F&I and dealer development. He enjoyed a 15-year career in front-end management before beginning his career as a trainer and nationally recognized F&I management expert. He heads the training division at UDS and contributes to F&I and Showroom, hosts the magazine’s weekly Tip of the Week video series and has served as speaker and emcee at Industry Summit and Agent Summit.


Dean Harrison

Dean Harrison is president of Maximus Auto Group, a national administrator and product service provider to automobile dealerships. A veteran of the car business since 1992, Dean started on the retail side selling cars, progressing to F & I and management. He spent several years with Pat Ryan & Associates where he built a reputation as a high-impact F & I consultant.

Kenneth H. Hill
Managing Director

Kenneth Hill oversees all areas of 700Credit’s business, including business development, training, sales, product development, marketing and information technology. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the credit industry, including seven years as president of MicroBilt. He has devoted his career to developing product suites surrounding credit and compliance solutions for the automotive industry and brings a strong leadership, product development and management background to his current duties.

Thomas Hudson is an attorney and compliance expert whose practice is focused on matters relating to vehicle financing and leasing. A 40-year veteran of the consumer financial services segment, he is among the automotive industry’s foremost legal experts. He is editor-in-chief of the CARLAW subscription service and book series, a regular contributor to Auto Dealer Today and F&I and Showroom and a frequent speaker at industry events.


David Keller

Tom Kerr

Tom Kerr joined Moore & Scarry in 2005 and served in a number of leadership positions before becoming a partner and co-owner in 2013. He is currently responsible for the strategic planning and execution for the agency’s entire clientele. In 2014, he co-founded SPARQ, a social media platform promoting positive dealership experiences. In 2015, he co-founded DyGen, a paid search and video pre-roll platform.  Tom is noted for his unique ability to quickly diagnose automotive retail business challenges and provide innovative marketing solutions. His numerous accomplishments and results have been featured in CBT News, Digital Dealer Conferences and DealerOn webinars, among others.


Demetrios Lahiri

During his retail automotive career, Demetrios Lahiri held various positions including salesperson, F&I manager, pivot manager, desk manager, and finance director. In April of 1999, he joined American Financial & Automotive Services, Inc. as a national sales trainer. During his years with American Financial, he has held various positions, such as a dealership development manager and regional sales manager. In December 2007, he was promoted to the position of vice president of sales. In this position, Demetrios and his team assist dealer partners in maximizing profits for front-end sales. Demetrios has been able to work with some of the top dealerships throughout the United States while working with American Financial. 


Rick McCormick

Rick McCormick is an ordained minister with more than 25 years of sales experience, including six in the retail automobile business. He is an in-demand trainer, speaker and author, having penned articles for F&I and Showroom, Auto Dealer Today and Agent Entrepreneur, among others, and presented workshops at Agent Summit and Industry Summit, where he presented “Used vs. New Customers: Uncovering Their F&I Hot Buttons” in 2014.


Teasha McMillion

Teasha McMillion is a 30-year veteran in the automotive and motorcycle industries. She was one of the first female parts directors of a multi-line store in the country. Having held the positions of parts manager/director, systems administrator, internal auditor, controlling in training, finance manager, finance director, sales manager, internet manager, she brings a wide scope of experience to F&I Think Tank. She currently assists dealer clients of all sizes, markets and franchises, providing interim finance department staffing, department synchronization and streamlining.

Terry O’Loughlin is the director of compliance for Reynolds & Reynolds and an experienced attorney. Prior to joining Reynolds in 2006, he worked in the economic crimes section at Florida’s Office of the Attorney General. Most of his efforts involved the investigation and prosecution of auto dealers, manufacturers, and finance and leasing companies. Terry led a task force which examined in excess of 100,000 motor vehicle files, assisted in the drafting of and served as mediator for Florida’s Motor Vehicle Lease Disclosure Act, among other distinctions. He has also served as a consultant to PrimeTime Live and Dateline NBC and contributed articles to F&I Management & Technology, among other media outlets.

Michael Tuno

Michael Tuno is the president and founder of World Class Dealer Services, Inc., a company dedicated to training in all aspects of the F&I department. In addition to maintaining the success of his own company, he has been an F&I instructor for both the NADA American Truck Dealer Candidate Academy as well as the NADA Automobile Dealer Candidate Academy. Prior to this, Michael spent time as vice president of franchise sales with the Guardian Warranty Corporation and a decade with Universal Underwriters. He has an extensive knowledge base in the areas of sales, F&I, automotive banking and sales management in the automotive retail industry.  He has been a frequent speaker at the RVDA National Convention, as well as the NADA Convention. Michael first received his AFIP Certification in 1996, achieved the certification on the Master’s level in 2012 and completed his second level Master AFIP Certification in 2014.


Diane Uzelac
F&I Training and Devlopment Specialist/Recruiter/Finance Manager

A 32-year veteran of the automotive industry, Diane Uzelac began selling cars in the Los Angeles market at the age of 17. She was then promoted to floor manager and then finance director in 1989. Two years later, she launched a temp agency for F&I managers called F&I Solutions. Her firm later diversified and began marketing F&I products and providing F&I training to franchised dealers. Noticing the decline in customer acceptance for credit life, accident and health insurance, she began working with dealer associations and finance sources to drive acceptance of products like etch and GAP. For the last 24 years, she has worked in F&I, consulted, recruited and provided employee training for organizations such as Penske Automotive, Sonic Automotive, Group 1 Automotive, Rusnak, Reynolds and Reynolds, Dominion, JM&A and American Financial and Automotive Services.


Jane Vaden Thacher

Jane Vaden Thacher is an executive and co-owner of the Vaden Automotive Group, which includes nine General Motors, Nissan and Infiniti dealerships and more than 500 employees in Georgia and South Carolina. The group was named 2014 F&I Dealer of the Year by F&I and Showroom magazine and has earned national recognition from GM, Nissan and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Jane is president of the Chevrolet Advertising Association and a member of the National Women’s Dealer Council, the Chevrolet Car Council and Nissan’s Regional Dealer Advisory Board.


Dina Wilson

Timbrook Automotive Group

Dina Wilson has served in various roles during her eight-year stint with Timbrook Automotive. She was hired as an F&I manager before being named sale manager for the group’s Chevrolet store in Keyser, W.Va. She was then promoted to general manager before assuming her current role as the group’s F&I director and compliance officer. Before joining Timbrook in 2007, she spent three years as an F&I manager for a competing Hyundai/Subaru operation. Prior to her automotive career, Wilson sold industrial scales to manufacturing facilities in various industries, including automotive. When her employer was sold and moved to the West Coast, she remained in Cumberland, Md., where her current employer is based.


Robert Wilson, Esquire

Robert Wilson is an trial attorney with 30 years of experience in the consumer finance field. Bob’s law practice is in the Philadelphia area and he regularly consults with corporate clients on compliance issues. Bob resides in the suburban Philadelphia area with his wife and reports that his two sons are nearly “off the payroll.”
